The Rip Curl GromSearch National Finals concluded on the 30th March at Jan Juc presenting the whipped cream of Australia’s top 16-year-old surfers. Groms from all over Oz competed in the event giving the judges a taste of the next generation of rippers. Smoking the boys' field was Margaret River's Creed McTaggart who ruffled some feathers by taking out the rest of the competition.

Josh Kerr claimed his first 6 – Star Prime Rated Drug Aware Pro at Margaret River with an incredible victory over world number one Taj Burrow. Kerr defeated the local favourite,TB, in front of the largest crowd ever seen at Surfers’ Point.
Drug Aware Pro Blessed With Chunky Swell
Men’s Round of 24 action at the 2010 Drug Aware Pro began this morning at Margaret River in huge waves at Surfers’ Point. It wasn't quite the swell we had been waiting for, but still, it's far from small. Local favourite and current World Number 1 Taj Burrow progressed easily into the Round of 16, winning Heat 1 of the morning.
