SPANISH CASTLE MAGIC
Hey, i'm Jimi Hendrix. You might have thought I was dead, but fool, i'm more alive than ever. Where my hoes at?
"TENT CITY" FEAT. COUNTRY, PACE WON & SKREWTAPE - LIVE FROM THE STREETS
On our way to back Philly we would always pass a slightly scary looking tent city on the side of the highway in Camden NJ. We were fascinated by it, we wondered what goes on there, who lives there, and what the people were like.
XAVIER RUDD SPIRIT BIRD INTERVIEW
This is the 15 minute phone call that went down between musician Xavier Rudd and Soggybones editor Justin Ward.
CLASSICAL DJ PREMIERE
Can't go past this classical track for RE:GENERATION featuring Nas and the Berklee Symphony Orchestra. You know what time it is?! Boil the kettle, pull out the tea and buscuits and kick it time? Maybe later, right now you're good to roll one up and throw some back. Happy Saturdays.
KING OF THE BEACH
I'm guessing the caring folk at the Cancer Foundation aren't going to be feeling over the moon when they hear this song by Wavves, which encourages listeners to "let the sun burn their eyes, and burn their back! Play it smart, slip, slop and slap, but turn this song up and don't feel bad about ditching work today to go surf, someone else can carry your load, trust me.
DEATH GRIPS
Sick of listening to your workmate, partner, yappy ass dog, crooked ex-wife, snotty nosed brat or whoever else is reaking disgusting vocal orders on your life? Listen to Death Grips instead. Their dirty Sacramento noise will skull fuck you senseless. We dig.
NO ROOM FOR ROCKSTARS
NO ROOM FOR ROCKSTARS claims to depict the true stories of modern era rock and roll from the kids in the van playing parking lots hoping to be discovered, to the veteran stage manager whose life was saved by the tour, to the musician who crosses over to mainstream success while on the road. I guess once we view this doco we will be able to see how real and raw it really is...
COBAIN: "KEEP GOING DESPITE THOSE FUCK HEADS - AKA - JOURNALISTS"
In 1993 Kurt Cobain was interviewed by one of his many "enemies". He suprisingly didn't sound too wacked on heroin at the time. Kurt took this opportunity to speak his mind about drugs, his future in music, and his intense bitterness, actually pure fucking hatred, for a supposedly "heartess" group known as journalists. Ride on.
