Duncans bread and butter.

If you've checked out Soggybones, "The Virgin" Edition, you would be familiar with Duncan Macfarlanes photography. On Monday the 15th, March, Duncan landed in West Oz after a 5 hour flight from Coffs Harbour to spend some time surfing and shooting. On Friday, a predicted swell of 8-10ft was set to hit the South West corner, and no doubt Duncan was keen to shoot the swell. "I was stoked to rock up to Margies and discover a big swell was on the cards, Coff's has been shithouse!" Duncan said. Friday finally arrived and we woke at dawn, ignored brekky and headed for North Point.

Fifteen Kilometers later we were amongst way too many vans, cars, surfers and photographers who had all anticipated the swell and lined the bays carpark. Unfortunately, the swell was pushing from the South, so most of the big wave locations missed the grunt of it. No shots, lots of people and lots of stickers. The circus was in town, but there was no where to perform. Fun. By Sunday morning the swell had done a complete runner and we found ourselves hunting around the areas biggest swell magnets.

After a short 20 minute drive North up the coast we were cruising down a tight little 4x4 track, which wound its way down to a remote beachie. As we arrived on the sand, fun 2-3 footers grinded there way down the beach and luckily there were only a few punters out making the most of it. One hour later Duncan emerged from the drink with a snap of a nice little underwater tunnel.
